About CURAKNOW

CURAKNOW – Island of Knowledge brings science, research, and the Curaçao community closer together.

Science helps us understand our environment, society, culture, economy, and the world around us. Through interactive events, school activities, and encounters with researchers, CURAKNOW makes research more visible, accessible, and engaging for people of all ages.

Activities include the CURAKNOW Science Festival, the Mad Science Fair, the Sci-Venture Digital Scavenger Hunt, and Science Squad @ School.

Our goal is simple: spark curiosity, connect people with research, and show how knowledge helps shape Curaçao’s past, present and future.

Part of European Researchers’ Night and Researchers at School

CURAKNOW is part of European Researchers’ Night and Researchers at Schools, funded through the European Union’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA).

Through this international initiative, Curaçao joins researchers and communities across Europe and associated countries in bringing science closer to society.

Science Is More Than You Think

Science is about physics, chemistry and biology. But it also includes fields such as art, history, culture, psychology, economics, technology, environmental sciences and the social sciences.

CURAKNOW invites everyone to discover these different fields and the people behind them.
